ORIGEN OF AN INSTANT IN TIME

CURATORIAL COMMISION · OSCAR ROLDAN
SITE SPECIFIC PROYECTO ALBO + MUSEUM OF MODERN ART MEDELLIN + EPM

'Momentum' refers to the energy released at the right moment of the collision of a body with another; it is the power that resides in the active or passive movement of an object. This energy speaks of a new reality of being as a result of a merge, always lucky to give birth to a reality.

“Venuz White, has being  researching for many years  on language material and its many implications in the formation of a new visual grammar.

Here, light as physical principle is crucial. The always organic, shapes resulting from her investigations auscultation the macrocosm within the microcosm, recreating situations through a kind of formal opposition, which teaches us in the least the most intimate secrets of the universe.

Day by day, this installation provides an immersive experience for the senses, increasingly different. As if it were a Gothic building, the installation clings to space and allows us to meet with our interior. It also raises a kind of prayer that resonates, claiming a strong echo out, reminding the very essence of our nature. Mondays are for the Moon, Mars for Tuesday, Mercury for Wednesday, Jupiter for Thursday, Venus for Friday, Saturday to Saturn and finally, on Sunday to light, are dedicated to the sun.

Painting has been the field of inquiry's work of Venuz. Momentum, “origin of an instant in time” can be assimilated with a penetrable painting ever expanding, as a space beyond the very limits and possibilities of "orderly distribution of spots on a support" as put by Kandinsky. Venuz transports us to an area without references and enables us to meet with a singular idea of creation.”
