AUURUM & AUURAM
GLASS AND LIGHT
Glass becomes both material and medium: it contains, reflects, refracts, and transforms light, revealing qualities that often remain unseen. Through this process, AUURUM.AUURAM creates sculptures, collectible works, and site-specific installations that engage with architecture, landscape, and interior space.
The laboratory approaches each material as an archive of memory and each transformation as an opportunity for discovery. Light is not treated simply as a functional element, but as a living language capable of altering perception and revealing the poetic dimension of a space.
Situated at the intersection of contemporary art, collectible design, and spatial experience, AUURUM.AUURAM creates works that invite contemplation and offer another way of seeing: where light does not simply illuminate a space, but reveals it.
AUURUM.AUURAM is an artistic laboratory founded by Colombian artist Venuz White, dedicated to exploring the relationship between light, matter, perception, and space.
Working primarily with blown and recovered glass, the laboratory investigates the transformative nature of materials and the phenomena of light. Each piece emerges from a dialogue between artisanal processes, material experimentation, and the forces that shape the natural world.
SEMILLA DE LUZ
Semilla de Luz is a sculptural work of light born from the origins of AUURUM & AUURAM, where blown glass, transparency, reflection, and light first began to converge as a language of transformation.
Inspired by the essential geometry of the cacao seed, the work explores the seed as a vessel of memory, abundance, connection with the sacred across time. Within its sweetness lies a metaphor for love: that which is shared, nourishes, and transforms. More than a fruit, cacao is a seed that holds the memory of the earth and the potential to become light.
A seed becomes light through glass. The material captures, reflects, and transforms illumination, revealing an ever-changing relationship between form and perception.
Twelve years after its conception, Semilla de Luz returns in a Limited Edition 2026: a new iteration of an emblematic work, created as a collectible light sculpture for intimate spaces.
